The High Court’s registry notification said, “In view of the danger of spreading Covid-19, it will be possible to enter the courtroom only by wearing a mask in the Nainital High Court.”

The Court has also directed the proper sanitization of the High Court premises and preventing overcrowding in the Courtrooms.

The Court has asked all the officers, staff, lawyers, and parties to use face masks inside the Courtrooms.

On Monday, India staged a “mock drill” to assess how well-equipped hospitals are to handle a spike in COVID-19 cases. The step had been taken after the recent rise in Covid-19 cases. As per the Ministry of Health and Family Affairs, India recorded more than 150 positive cases in last 24 hours.

It may be noted that to effectively contain the epidemic, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami urged the health department to start a campaign to give Covid booster dosages.

He instructed department employees to begin setting up holding facilities on Friday to begin giving people booster doses.

In addition to this, the Karnataka Government has also mandated the use of N95 facemasks at public places. Revenue Minister R Ashoka on Monday said, “COVID cases are increasing in China. Our advisory cell suggested monitoring international travellers. We had a meeting related to COVID preparedness along with Health Minister K Sudhakar. Two hospitals will be dedicated in Bengaluru for providing treatment to people having symptoms”.
