On Sunday, 40 people died in a horrific road accident in the African country of Senegal. 78 people have been injured in this accident. Expressing grief over the accident, the President has announced three days of national mourning in the country.
A major road accident has been witnessed in the African country of Senegal. Here two buses collided with each other, in which 40 people died and 78 were injured. The incident took place in Kaffrine in central Senegal. The incident took place on National Road No. 1 at 3.15 am on Sunday.
After getting information about the accident, the police and fire brigade team reached the spot, took out the passengers trapped in both the buses and took everyone to the hospital for treatment, where doctors declared 40 people dead. The treatment of other 78 injured is going on in the hospital. The bus was on its way to the town of Rosso, close to the Mauritanian border.
Senegal’s President Macky Sall expressed his condolences over the accident. Expressing condolences to the families of the deceased, President Macky Sall has wished the injured a speedy recovery. After this accident, 3 days of national mourning has been declared in Senegal.
A fire department official said that the accident bus had a seating capacity of 60 people. However, it is difficult to tell how many people were on board. The bus was on its way to Rosso’s. This is a terrible accident. Apart from the death of 40 people, 78 people of both the buses were also injured in this accident.He further said that 78 injured have been taken to the medical center in Kaffir for treatment. According to the police and fire brigade of Kafrin, both the buses have been removed from the road after the accident. Police claim that traffic has been started on National Road Number One after removing the accident vehicles.
