Harshita Chowdhary (16), daughter of Pradeep Chowdhary, a resident of Jagriti Vihar Sector 4, who was studying in Class 10 in Cantt-based Deewani School, committed suicide by shooting herself on Thursday. The dead body of the girl student was found lying in a pool of blood. Police sent the body for postmortem and have started investigation. Harshita, daughter of Pradeep Chaudhary, resident of Jagriti Vihar Sector 4 of Medical Police Station area, was a class X student in Diwan School.
Harshita’s pre board exams were about to begin. The student was tense about the exam. Due to this tension, student Harshita committed suicide by shooting with a pistol. The police recovered the pistol lying near the student. The pistol was unlicensed.
He carried out the incident in the room inside the house. Hearing the sound, the family members came running inside the house and saw that the student was lying in a pool of blood. Informed the police. The student shot on the temple. As soon as the information was received, the police along with the forensic team reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem
