The Income Tax Department raided the BBC offices in Delhi and Mumbai on Tuesday (February 14) morning. Sources told that the team of Income Tax Department is still inside the office and the process of raid is going on. The phones of all the employees present in the office have been confiscated. According to sources, IT department officials are going through the papers in the BBC office.
On the other hand, Income Tax sources told Aaj Tak that this is a survey by the Income Tax team. However, so far no official information has been given by the Income Tax Department regarding this.
