It is learned that there was an argument between the two over some issue. In this, Rajat Sharma shot Santosh Pandit in the stomach. There is no injury to any vital organ.
A sensational incident took place near Ganga Marble on the Delhi-Moradabad highway in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. Santosh Pandit, Metropolitan Co-Minister of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, was shot in the stomach in the evening by a youth named Rajat Sharma in an argument over something. After this the injured was admitted to a private hospital. After getting the information, all the police officers including the SSP reached the spot.
As soon as the information about the shooting of VHP leader Santosh Pandhari came, a large number of Vishwa Hindu Parishad workers gathered. Provincial Minister Dr. Rajkamal Gupta from Meerut also reached Moradabad. After this, VHP workers gheraoed the police and demanded to identify the accused and arrest them as soon as possible. Dr. Rajkamal Gupta reached the hospital and inquired about the condition of Santosh Pandhari.He told that his condition is now stable. The bullet hit Santosh in the stomach. For safety, X-ray and MRI have been done. According to the doctors, all his organs are safe.
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, SSP Hemraj Meena has formed five teams under the leadership of SP City Moradabad. Apart from this, a separate surveillance team has been formed to track the accused. These teams include the teams of CO Civil Lines, SHO Majhola, SHO Nagphani and SHO Civil Lines. Police told that soon the accused will be arrested. At present, different police teams are raiding every possible hideout.
