A case of a traffic police constable being dragged for one and a half kilometers on the bonnet of his car when he was stopped from crossing a traffic signal at Vasai in Palghar district has come to light, according to a report in Maharashtra. The police gave information there. That the driver of the car is 19 years old and does not even have the required license. The incident happened last Sunday. The driver has been arrested and an FIR has been registered against him under sections including attempt to murder.
According to the information, constable Sampatrao Patil was doing duty at the busy intersection of Vasai. Then he signaled the car UP-32 DJ 7707 to stop after crossing the traffic signal. Patil was making inquiries when the driver suddenly started the car and dragged the policeman on the bonnet.
