In Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli, they are running a unique campaign to save the cattle, leaving jobs worth lakhs. He is giving employment to approximately 35 women by making idols from cow dung. Not only this, but idols made of cow dung are being supplied in many states.

A unique initiative to save the cow dynasty: leaving a job worth lakhs, Ankit is making idols from cow dung.

Ankit Kumar Rod, a resident of Kutubgarh village in the area, has started a unique campaign to save the cattle after leaving his job of Project Officer at MSC Agriculture in Thana Bhawan. For the last five years, Ankit has been providing support to the destitute wandering cows while preparing gift items ranging from cow dung to idols of God and selling them online and offline at various places in Haryana, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Shamli. Not only this, but 35 women in the area have also been given employment. People are also urged

to use gifts prepared from cow dung to save the environment from getting polluted and come forward to save the cows.

Started the campaign inspired by her mother
Ankit Rod told me that after completing his MSC in Agriculture from Rampur, he was appointed as a project officer in Uttarakhand in 2017. The job was still going on, but Mata Shyamo Devi inspired him to serve the cows. On the orders of his mother, he left his job and came to the village, where he started making idols and gift items from cow dung about five years ago. The idols and other items made of cow dung by Ankit Saini are not only pure but also eco-friendly. The idols are made from cow dung only. After this, it is given a beautiful look with paint.

Cow dung is bought for Rs 30 per kg.
Ankit said that in the beginning he also faced problems. He started buying cow dung cakes and cow dung for Rs. 30 per kg. Idols, gift items, trophies, momentos, Holi colours, lamps, etc. are made and supplied across the country through Upals. All orders are received online and delivered to buyers via parcels.

They also give support to the cattle.
Ankit told me that if someone leaves the cow dynasty after giving milk, then he also gives support to such a cow dynasty. Work has also started on the project to make insecticide from cow urine. If cow herders start getting the price of cow dung and cow urine, instead of leaving them destitute, people will start rearing cow wealth. People are also made aware of the sale by making items from cow dung. Told that every year they earn several lakh rupees.

The environment will not be polluted even after immersing idols.
The sculptures made by Ankit are eco-friendly. Even if these finished idols are immersed, there is no danger of polluting the environment.
