Completion of Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha: Chief Minister and Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath said that in greater India, devotees from north to south and east to west have been receiving supernatural blessings through the twelve Jyotirlingas since ancient times. Through Indian Manisha, we see Lord Shankar in pebbles. By worshiping Shiva, we get inspiration for the welfare of others as well as ourselves.

CM Yogi said, Lord Shiva is present in the pebbles of India.

CM Yogi was expressing his views in front of the Vyaspeeth on the seven-day (July 18–24) rest day of Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha organized at Mansarovar Temple located in Andhiyari Bagh of Gorakhnath Temple on Monday. After worshiping the Vyaspeeth, he said that it is a good fortune to enjoy the story of Devadhidev Mahadev and Lord Shiva in the bright half of the holy month of Shravan.

It is said that in greater India, from Kailash to Rameshwaram, from Vaidyanath Dham in the east to Somnath Dham in the west, the holy places of Lord Bholenath have been centers of awakening spiritual and cultural unity since ancient times. Devotees bring stones from rivers and pilgrimages, worship them in the form of Shankar, and get spiritual satisfaction. Shivalaya and Jyotirlinga strengthen cultural unity.

Shiva means well being
Chief Minister and Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath said that Shiva itself means welfare. The one in whom there is no hypocrisy, there is no world, the one who does welfare for himself and society by being engrossed in meditation, he is the worshiper of Shiva. To take the sufferings of others upon oneself, to give nectar to others and to drink poison is Shivatva. That’s why doing welfare of others along with one’s own welfare will be the real Shiva worship.

Blessings are received according to the attitude of worship.
CM Yogi said that we try to conform to the one we worship. There is no distinction of caste, region, or gender in the worship of Lord Shiva. Along with human beings, non-human beings such as Dev, Kinnar, Yaksha, Gandharva, and Bhoot Pishaach also got the company of Bholenath. According to the way in which we worship, we will receive grace accordingly.

Kawand Yatra is an example of cultural and social unity
The Chief Minister said that the special occasion of worship of Lord Shiva in the month of Sawan, the Kanwar Yatra is a unique example of cultural and social unity. In this, youth, women and men of every section are seen engrossed in devotion, performing Jalabhishek of Bholenath with reverence. This is a wonderful form of divine devotion.

Protect places of worship and public property
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appealed to all the people for the protection of religious places, government and public property. Citing the example of Mansarovar temple, he said that 10-11 years back this temple was dilapidated and in disarray. The consciousness of the society was awakened and the devotees of Gorakhpur took up the task of conservation and it was rejuvenated.

Said that keeping every religious place, government and public property beautiful should be everyone’s duty. If someone harms any public property, then he cannot honestly express his sense of reverence and gratitude towards Mother Earth, his heritage and ancestors. Therefore, do not harm these places yourself and do not allow anyone to harm them. Expressing gratitude to Kathavyas Sant Balakdas and all the hosts, CM Yogi prayed to Devadhidev Mahadev for a happy and prosperous life for all.

On this occasion, a large number of devotees including Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, MLA Vipin Singh, MLC Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Mahant Ravindra Das of Kalibari, Mahant Panchanan Puri of Chachairam Math, Metropolitan President of BJP Rajesh Gupta, Councilor Pawan Tripathi were present.
