Found new place of life in Maldives

Every day there are new discoveries in the world. Sometimes such a discovery is made that people are surprised to know about it. Now the British have discovered a mysterious and unique world. In fact, a very unique ecosystem has been discovered in the Indian Ocean, 1640 feet deep from the surface.
The most surprising thing is that very dangerous and hungry sharks live here. Scientists have named this area as the trapping zone. This unique world has been discovered near Satho Raha, a deep sea volcano of Maldives which is a very ancient and extinct volcano. While making the way along, it suddenly rose 4921 feet above sea level. This place is inhabited by herds of fish and sharks, which are very aggressive towards small sea creatures. These sea creatures have been named Micronekton. Let’s know about this unique world…
Marine ecologist Alex Rogers of Oxford University has told about this unique world. He has said that the trapping zone has all the characteristics of a different ecosystem, which is creating a new place of life in Maldives. They have expressed the possibility that such places may also be on the slopes of other oceanic islands and continents.
The divers discovered this new ecosystem as part of the Nekton Maldives mission. Under this mission, mysterious areas will be surveyed and documented. For this, submarines are being sent 3,300 feet below sea level near 20 natural atolls of Maldives.
The area is home to large fish such as predatory tuna, deepwater spiky oriole, alphonsino and shark, in addition to small marine life. When the submarine’s spotlight shone on the school of fish, divers spotted tiger sharks, sixgill sharks, sand tiger sharks, dog fish, gulper sharks, scalloped hammerhead sharks, silky sharks and the rare bramble shark. Scientists have captured pictures of sea creatures on camera and collected their samples.
Scientists say that this area will be studied in detail. Then we can know how the peculiar ecosystem has developed in this area. This information can be obtained on how small sea creatures can be protected. Climate change is a threat to the food of these organisms ie plankton.
Micronekton are vital to the Maldives. Fishing is the biggest industry here after tourism. The US Geological Survey has said that if climate change continues like this, by the year 2050, about 80 percent of Maldives will be uninhabitable.
