According to Nwang Lakhpa Sherpa, the vice chairman of the rural municipality, the local people had informed about the helicopter crash. The helicopter crashed at Chihandanda in Lamjura, Bhakanje village.

The Sherpa told The Kathmandu Post, “Locals have discovered the crashed helicopter in Chihandanda.” An Altitude Air helicopter and security officials were deployed in the area of Lamjura Pass since this morning to search for the missing helicopter. Manang Air Operations and Safety Manager Raju Newpane said, “The last contact with the helicopter 9N-AMV was made at 10.12 am in the Lamjura Pass area.”
