India-China Tension: ‘Has the India-China border dispute really been resolved?’, Congress asks Jaishankar
Countering a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs, the Congress on Friday questioned whether the India-China border dispute is going to be resolved. In fact, the Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday told about the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping at the dinner during the G20 summit in Bali last year. He had said that on this occasion the two leaders exchanged courtesies and talked about the need to keep bilateral relations stable. Now the Congress has retaliated on this statement.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh also asked whether China would withdraw its army from Depsang and Demchok in Ladakh.

Ramesh said that on June 19, 2020, the Prime Minister had given a clean chit to China, since then his government is continuously pretending as if it is strict on China. He further said that when the LAC is being continuously attacked by China, it is clear that there has been no meaningful conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

On this statement, Jairam Ramesh asked whether there has really been any talk between the two leaders? Has China decided to withdraw its army from Depsang and Demchok in Ladakh? Where he has been infiltrating for more than three years. He said that he is claiming that the economic relations between the two countries are improving, but how can this be possible when the Chinese are under occupation in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh.
