Horrific accident in Kannauj: Drunken container driver tramples three, two men killed, watchman injured
In the Chhibramau Kotwali area of Kannauj district, the driver of a container going to Delhi carrying groceries from Lucknow trampled three people in front of Aam Nagla village on GT Road under the influence of alcohol. After the accident, the container overturned uncontrollably. Two Pulldars died in this accident. At the same time, the watchman was referred from a 100 bed hospital to Government Medical College Tirwa in critical condition.
The police have sent the dead bodies of both pulldars for postmortem. Sunil Batham (34), resident of village Mahmoodpur Khas, Vipin Kumar Jatav (29), resident of village Kunarpur Banwari, is a puller in Lata cold storage in front of village Nagla on GT Road; and Satyapal (30), resident of village Mahmoodpur Keerat, is a watchman. On Sunday afternoon, the container was going to Delhi after loading groceries from Lucknow.

The driver of the container ran over all three while driving fast and carelessly under the influence of alcohol. After the accident, the speeding container overturned uncontrollably. All three were seriously injured in this accident. All three were admitted to a 100-bed hospital by ambulance. There, the doctors declared Sunil and Vipin Kumar dead, and Satyapal was referred to Government Medical College Tirwa in critical condition after first aid.
Dead bodies sent for postmortem
After the accident, the relatives of the deceased reached the hospital. The relatives of the palladars were in bad condition after crying over the dead bodies. After getting the information, the police reached the hospital and sent the dead bodies of both pulldars for postmortem. In this regard, Kotwal Ajay Kumar Pathak said that the bodies of both have been sent for postmortem. The report on the case is being filed. Advance action will be taken on the basis of the investigation into the matter.
