Meerut: Prices of vegetables are skyrocketing, rates reach up to 10 kg, tomato prices also fall, now salad will decorate the plate
As soon as the weather cleared, more than 200 carats of tomatoes reached Meerut’s new vegetable market, due to which 80 to 100 kg of tomatoes were sold in bulk in the vegetable market on Saturday.

At the same time, tomatoes have been sold in retail at Rs 100 to 120 per kg in the market itself. Apart from this, the prices of other vegetables have also come down significantly.
It was informed that the retail price of bottle gourd 10 kg, bitter gourd 20 kg, brinjal 20 kg, okra 30 kg, potato 12 to 13 kg, capsicum 100 kg has reached retail in Naveen Sabzi Mandi.
Padam Kumar Saini, head of the Naveen Vegetable Market Association, says that the arrival of vegetables in the market has increased due to the clear weather. On Saturday, so many tomatoes reached the market that even 50 percent could not be sold. Now the remaining tomatoes will be sold tomorrow. At the same time, in view of the increasing arrival of tomato, there is a possibility of further coming down in the price.
