MPs of the India Alliance submitted a memorandum to the President
After meeting the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge told the media that today, 31 MPs from the All India Alliance met the President on the situation in Manipur. We have submitted a memorandum to the President. Earlier on Wednesday, Vice President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Jagdeep Dhankhar held talks with Leader of Opposition (Rajya Sabha), Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader, Sharad Pawar in his chamber in Parliament House.

The issue of Haryana’s Nuh violence was also raised
In the memorandum, the opposition MPs have said that the Prime Minister should visit conflict-torn Manipur to restore peace. Along with this, 31 leaders of the opposition group also raised the issue of communal tension in Haryana’s Nuh and alleged that the central government is not bothered about the developments happening barely 100 km away from the Prime Minister’s office.

MPs who visited Manipur also went to meet the President
Talking to the media, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that the MPs who visited Manipur were also included in the members of the opposition delegation. Everyone apprised the President about the situation in Manipur and shared their details. Further said that we have requested the President to put pressure on the Prime Minister to immediately address the Parliament on the current situation in Manipur, after which there should be a detailed and comprehensive discussion on the matter.

The President said she would definitely look into it
Mallikarjun Kharge said that we told the President how people in Manipur have no food, no water, no arrangements for sick people. We told what kind of incidents are happening there. Especially told the President about the atrocities on women. President Murmu said that she will definitely see it.

Nominate two Manipuri women to Rajya Sabha
Opposition group India on Wednesday suggested that President Draupadi Murmu nominate two Manipuri women from different communities to the Rajya Sabha to help repair the grave damage done to the state’s women. Trinamool Congress leader Sushmita Dev made this suggestion when a delegation of the opposition group met the President. Sushmita Dev said that nominating Manipuri women to Rajya Sabha will serve as a small measure for Manipur. This is the least we can hope for in this time of national tragedy.
