Former Regional Director Sameer Wankhede, who was implicated in the Cardelia Cruz drugs case, has lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police. In this, he has demanded police action against RTI activist Ketan Tirodkar. He has alleged that he has been insulted by the video uploaded by Ketan Tirodkar on the Cordelia Cruz case.

Sameer Wankhede has claimed in his complaint that Ketan Tirodkar published a false, defamatory interview on a Marathi news channel and other media. Wankhede has said that Tirodkar has defamed him in a video uploaded on YouTube without verifying the facts on the matter under consideration. In his complaint, Wankhede demanded that a defamation case be registered against the RTI activist under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code.

An officer of Amboli police station has confirmed this. He has said that after receiving the complaint from Wankhede, the police is probing it.

Explain that the CBI had registered a case against former NCB Regional Director Wankhede and four others for deliberately implicating Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in the Cordelia Cruise drugs case and demanding a bribe of Rs 25 crore from him. He faces charges of bribery, besides alleged criminal conspiracy and making threats of extortion. The CBI has also questioned him regarding this.
