A horrific road accident took place on Tuesday on the Lucknow-Varanasi Highway in Kamrauli area of Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh. Where a boy riding an e-rickshaw was killed and 15 others injured after a speeding truck collided. After getting the information, the police reached the spot, took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. Along with this, a case has been registered against the unknown truck driver and started searching for him.
According to the information received from the police sources, some chefs from Lodhan Ka Purva Hargaon of Jamo police station area had gone to cook food in a program at Semrauta village of Shivratan Ganj police station area on Monday evening. After finishing work, all these people were returning to their homes on e-rickshaws since Tuesday morning.According to the police, during this time the battery of this e-rickshaw got damaged on the Lucknow-Varanasi National Highway near Kamrauli police station. After which some people in the rickshaw got down and started pushing the rickshaw so that it could start again.
Meanwhile, a speeding truck coming from Lucknow side hit the e-rickshaw from behind, sources said. In this accident, 14-year-old Ranjit died on the spot and 15 others were injured. Sources said that on the complaint of Ranjit’s father Gaya Prasad, the police have registered a case against the unknown truck driver and started looking for him.
