In Cuttack, a stepmother murders her 2-year-old child and hangs herself.
A married woman’s body was discovered hanging in her home in the Sriram Nagar area of Cuttack’s Madhupatna police station on Monday. The body of her two-year-old stepson was also discovered inside the house.
A sharp weapon slashed open the boy’s throat. According to preliminary evidence, the woman may have killed her stepson before committing suicide. However, the possibility of someone else’s wrongdoing cannot be ruled out. A thorough investigation, according to police officials, will reveal the truth. Locals believe the tragedy was caused by a marital squabble between the woman and her husband. The husband of the deceased woman works for a private company in Salepur.
