Egypt’s President Arrives in India for 74th Republic Day

President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday. El-Sisi has been invited to India to be the chief guest at India 74th Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
Egypt’s president has arrived in India for four days visit from January 24 to January 27. During his visit, he will meet with President Murmu, Prime Minister Modi, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
Although India and Egypt have close and friendly relations with each other, this is the first time the President of Egypt has been invited as the chief guest on India’s Republic day.
