Iran foiled a drone attack on a military base in Isfahan. Citing the Ministry of Defense, Iran’s media said on Sunday that the explosion was caused by the foiling of the drone attack. No one died in this attack.
According to a statement issued by the Iran news agency IRNA, Iran’s military shot down one drone, while two other drones returned after firing. No one was killed in this unsuccessful attack. However, there was minor damage to the roof of the military base.
Earlier, the IRIB said without giving further details that the explosion occurred at one of the ammunition manufacturing centers of the Defense Ministry. During this one drone was shot down and the other drone was captured and destroyed. The ministry said that the failed attack did not cause much damage and there was no loss of life. However, minor damage has been done to the roof of the factory during this period.
The Iranian Defense Ministry further said in its statement that the attack did not affect their military factory. The ministry further said that the conspiracy to attack is not going to affect the development of the country. It is known that in the last few years, there have been many explosions and fires around Iranian military, nuclear and industrial facilities.
The news of the attack on Iran has come at a time when there is tension between Israel and the nuclear program with the US. Israel has also threatened military action against Iran for violating the 2015 nuclear deal.
